Justice is not protected by licensed heroes in the world of My Hero Academia. This society is full of superpowers, and evil has become more dangerous. Licensed and trained heroes protect people from these powerful villains and are seen as above the other. Though not everyone can become an official hero, some people use their abilities to help others without holding a license. Are they fighting for shadow justice, or have some hidden motives? Whatever the reasons, they are called vigilantes.

Koichi Haimawari was unable to qualify as a licensed hero. So he helps others by doing good things. One day, his unexpected encounter with a local criminal group leads him to pair up with two strange heroes. They all have courage and recklessness, but are not familiar with the true spirit of heroism. Soon, they learn that bravery is not enough to defeat evil.
